THE
ENDOCANNABINOID SYSTEM

( en·do·can·na·bi·noid )

The human body has an Endocannabinoid System (ECS), which assists with regulating activities such as immune response, inflammation, sleep and wake cycles, and mood and anxiety response. Endocannabinoids and phyto cannabinoids are chemicals that trigger the cannabinoid receptors known as CB1 and CB2.

CB1 Receptors

receptors are primarily located in brain cells and the nervous system.

CB2 Receptors

are found in the immune system and other tissue throughout the body.

Cannabis interacts with the ECS by helping the mind and body to maintain appropriate cannabinoid levels and support good health through homeostasis.
