CANNABINOIDS

Cannabinoids react with receptors in the body to encourage a healthy balance known as homeostasis. These chemical compounds are produced naturally by the body as well as from plants such as cannabis.

Endocannabinoids are produced naturally by the body and act like a bridge connecting mind and body.

Phyto cannabinoids are molecules produced by plants and interact similarly within the body.

Cannabis produces several types of cannabinoid acids that are activated (decarboxylated) usually by heat and oxygen converting them to the well-known cannabinoid’s like THC and CBD. Each cannabinoid when combined with different terpenes can trigger different therapeutic effects in the body known as the “Entourage Effect,” and they are what make specific strains of cannabis unique.
